LINGERIE AS AN OUTFIT | WAYS TO WEAR THE SUMMER LINGERIE TREND

I have to admit that when I first heard about the lingerie trend, my first thought was, "oh gosh, things could get a bit sleezy!" But then as I began to see more and more designers and fashion houses send different versions of the trend down the runway, I found myself increasingly intrigued and now I'm all in!

There are a number of ways to wear this trend but I'll share just 3 of my favorite ways to incorporate it into a wearable summer look for day or evening. Of course as with any look, it's important to bare in mind that context for where you would choose to wear the trend is key.

Sheer

There are surprisingly a number of ways to pull off sheer pieces into a wearable summer look. Although most of the looks I'd prefer would likely work best for evening, I'd also be inclined to incorporate sheer pieces into day time looks as well.

Silk & Satin

While silk and satin are typically a fabric already embraced by most, despite the lingerie trend, it's been great to see even more options for how to wear it.

Lace

Lace would be one of my favorite ways to wear the lingerie trend! With lace being such a feminine fabric, I have always had an interest for it. At one time I only envisioned embracing the fabric in the bedroom and for more elegant looks - like weddings and other special occasions. So I've been really happy to see more casual looks that incorporate this fabric as a trend this summer.
